Product Description
The Autumn Bonfire™ Encore® Azalea shrub is a repeat bloomer that adds a splash of cultivated color with minimal maintenance—making it the perfect choice for almost any landscape!
The encore azalea tree is compact, fast-growing, and is known as a deep red encore azalea because of its bright red blooms with darker colored crimson spots. The blooms are true semi-double and single flowers that contrast the bright green foliage. This beautiful dwarf azalea variety is an eye-catching statement with its funnel-shaped red blooms that grow from spring until winter.
Encore Azalea Landscaping Ideas
This blooming azalea encore bonfire is an excellent choice for mass planting or as an accent plant to add a beautiful red burst of color to your landscape or flower bed. It is an evergreen azalea and will keep its green color all year long.
Autumn Bonfire Encore Azalea Care
Grow encore azalea bushes across the United States in USDA growing zones 6-10. This plant prefers 4-6 hours of morning and afternoon full sun with intermittent shade and does best in moist, well-drained soils that have a lower soil pH. Slightly acidic garden soil is best for keeping this true red azalea healthy.
A slow-release fertilizer applied annually in early spring will help encourage growth and red flowers on this fast-growing dwarf flowering shrub. Apply the fertilizer at the top of the root ball for best results.
The azalea encore autumn bonfire is a drought-tolerant, repeat bloomer that has a mature height of 3 feet with an equal spread. The 3-gallon encore azalea is also pest and disease resistant. It is easy to grow and looks gorgeous in any garden!
