The Caroline is exceptionally disease resistant and heat tolerant compared to other everbearers and features sweeter fruit, as well. The strong canes need little pruning to maintain shape. Only prune crossing canes or canes to improve desired shape.
The Caroline Raspberry is self-fertile and is very sun tolerant and deer resistant. Its fruiting canes will reach an average of 4-5 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide at maturity. The red berries measure 1-2 inches wide and you will need only one plant for your home garden to produce plentiful fruit.
