As the original members of the Knock Out family, the Red KnockOut Rose bush adds not only a continuous burst of rich cherry red color but also a light sweet scent to your garden!
This cultivar’s bright red flowers bloom continuously and proliferously. Like the other Knock Out rose varieties, the red knockout rose tree has extraordinary resistance to common rust and mildew, and resistance to black spot foliage diseases.
The bloom cycle for these shrub roses starts in early spring and reblooms all summer long. Deadheading spent flower blossoms will encourage continuous blooming.
This beautiful rose bush makes for a superb low hedge. It could also be planed as an accent shrub. The dark, semi-glossy foliage contrasts nicely with the bright blooms of the roses creating visual appeal in any landscape.
Rose Bush Care
This rose bush can grow up to 3-5 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide.
Grow this knockout rose across the United States in full sun in USDA growing zones 5-10. Has very good winter hardiness for the northern states. Water thoroughly the first year of planting to establish a strong root system. After it is established, it is fairly drought tolerant.
A slow release fertilizer or organic fertilizer at the top of the root ball can help during the growing season to encourage flowering.
