Red Ruffle Azalea Care
For best results with the Red Ruffles azalea follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep extensive root system. This is especially during the sun exposures of the hot summer months.
Be sure to provide well drained soil that is rich in organic matter. Feed with an acid fertilizer after bloom and keep the roots cool with a thick 2-3 inch layer of mulch.
The dwarf azalea prefers full sun to part shade and acidic soil. Make sure it is moist soil. It only grows up to 3-5 feet tall and wide. Relatively easy to grow in the southern United States. Grows best in USDA plant hardiness zones 7-9.
