The Royal Purple Liriope will grow in part sun to part shade, but prefer a mixture of both. They can tolerate full sun if planted in a spot with afternoon full shade. They have good tolerance to heat, humidity and they are also drought tolerant.
The liriope plant has no serious insect or disease problems and may be used for ground covers or edging plants. It will grow up to 1 feet tall and wide give or take and up to 18 inches.
