Grow the Ligustrum sinense ‘Sunshine’ across the United States in USDA hardiness zones 6-10. It is an excellent shrub for southern or northern states and is cold hardy down to -10 F.
It flourishes in full sun with at least 6 hours of sunlight every day and prefers moist, well drained soil. The ligustrum plant is exceptionally tolerant to clay soil, salt spray tolerant, and is okay with wet soils too. You can also amend your native soil with any type of garden soil from your local plant store.
The Sunshine ligustrum size is up to 3-6 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide at full maturity with a moderate growth rate. Prune this evergreen shrub as needed to maintain the desired size and shape.
