Beautiful Ornamental Tree with Eyecatching Blooms
You won’t believe your eyes when you see the Pink Cascade Weeping Peach Tree’s bright pink flowers and gorgeous cascading branches!
Produced in the early 1990s, the Prunus persica Pink Cascade variety is a completely ornamental peach tree with desirable hot pink double flowers that line the branches starting in early spring. It is typically one of the first flowering trees to bloom and signal the start of spring. With alluring weeping branches that sweep alongside the trunk of the tree, the green foliage will form after the flowering period and stays on the tree all year long until winter.
Leaves emerge with a reddish purple tint from spring to summer and turn a golden yellow or greenish in the fall to produce some beautiful fall colors. In warmer climates, the leaves may begin turning green by late summer.
Being a deciduous tree, the dark green leaves will fall to the ground as temperatures fluctuate for fall and winter. This leaves the weeping branches to sway alongside the trunk of the tree to ground level with grace. This ornamental tree does not produce edible fruit and rarely has pest or disease issues.
Plant this unique tree somewhere it can be seen and enjoyed in your garden. The small size and stature make it perfect for small garden spaces or containers.
PINK WEEPING PEACH TREE CARE
Grow this Weeping Peach across the United States in USDA hardiness zones 5-9. It is very cold hardy but can also tolerate heat and drought once established. Well draining soil that is kept moist and slightly acidic is most suitable to help this tree perform best. This pink flowering peach grows more enjoyable in full sun to help produce the bushels of brightly colored pink blossoms.
Water the small tree thoroughly to help establish a strong root system and mulch with a thick 2-inch layer of organic matter to help retain moisture during the active growing seasons.
What is the Pink Weeping Peach Tree Growth Rate?
This pink peach tree can grow up to 12-15 feet tall and wide at maturity. It has a moderate growth rate of up to 1-2 feet per year. Given the appropriate growing conditions with nutrient-rich soil and at least 6-8 hours of direct sun, the tree can exhibit fast growth rates. An annual application of Slow Release Fertilizer will help increase the tree’s growth rate.
All About Pruning Ornamental Peach Trees
You can let the tree grow to its full potential or you can keep it pruned to your desired height and width. In order to keep the flower production at its prime, it is necessary to prune back the arching branches every year or flower production will suffer. The best time to prune weeping peach trees is in late winter or early spring before the tree blooms for the best outcomes. Pruning will also help maintain a desirable shape for your tree. Remove dead, damaged branches, or crossed branches at any time of the year to encourage new growth. Be sure to not cut into the branch collar when you are making your cuts.

Plant arrived in very stressed condition with leaves almost falling off. 4 weeks later it is barely hanging on with no signs of new growth.
Well I was actually looking to purchase a pink flowering weeping cherry tree do was surprised to open box with a tree that had small fuzzy fruit. I sure hope deer are not attracted to peaches, as I work ardently to keep them from my nursery stock, so no NOT happy about this mistake.
