Large Evergreen Tree Beloved for Shade & Summer Flowers
The Bracken Brown Magnolia tree’s compact pyramidal form features beautiful, large pure white flowers that make it an exceptional choice as an accent tree for your landscape.
The Bracken’s Brown Beauty Magnolia tree is a significant broadleaf evergreen magnolia cultivar with extensive winter hardiness. This plant produces large fragrant, cup-shaped, creamy white flowers that appear in late spring with sparse flowering throughout the summer. This fragrant white flowering tree grows in all types of climates making it one of our favorite southern magnolias and favorite shade trees.
Its glossy dark green leaves are green on top and rusty-brown on the undersides, lending a bi-color appearance to the foliage. The Bracken magnolia tree flowers will give way to spherical fruiting cone clusters that mature in the late summer growing season. At full maturity, it releases coated red seeds on slender threads perfect for birds to munch on.
The Brackens Brown Magnolia growth rate is around 1 to 2 feet per year, making it a very fast-growing tree and perfect if you are looking for height fast. This large native tree can get up to 30-40 feet tall and up to 25 feet wide at full maturity.
Bracken’s Magnolia has an upright growth habit with a tall central leader. Adding some fertilizer yearly will benefit the tree’s growth and health.

Lovely Tree
This tree arrived in good condition. I’ve had it a month and It’s doing well. it’s the end of October it is unseasonably warm here, still in the 90’s and there is new growth on the end of every branch. I hope this doesn’t mess it up when the colder weather comes. I would love to post a pic of my beautiful tree but she really doesn’t photograph well.

Great Experience
Perfect Plants has been great to work with. I purchased a Bracken’s Brown Beauty back in 2022. We had one of the craziest winters in record and being brand new it didn’t survive. I had the warranty and Perfect Plants honored it without question. I just paid for shipping the new plant. It arrived and is doing great! It had many months to establish before our next winter.

I hope this will last longer then the other tree. The first one only lasted a year. This time I ordered a different magnolia.

To increase the chances of your new magnolia tree lasting longer, it's important to choose a variety that is suitable for your climate and growing conditions. Some magnolia varieties, such as the saucer magnolia (Magnolia x soulangeana), are known for their resilience and longevity. Proper care and maintenance are also crucial for the health and longevity of your magnolia tree. Make sure to provide adequate sunlight, well-draining soil, and regular watering. In addition, regular pruning and fertilizing can help promote healthy growth and extend the lifespan of your tree. While it's difficult to predict the exact lifespan of any individual tree, by selecting a suitable magnolia variety and providing proper care, you can increase the chances of your new magnolia tree thriving for many years to come. I hope this information helps, and I wish you success with your new magnolia tree! If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.
