Red Fuji apple trees are not self-pollinators, so you’ll need to pair them with another variety to ensure a bountiful harvest. Be sure to pick pollination partners in the same flowering group as your variety. Meaning, the variety of apple trees flower at the same time, therefore, having highly compatible cross-pollination. The best Fuji apple pollinators are Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, and Granny Smith apples. You can even use a flowering crab apple tree to pollinate fruiting varieties.

If you see a damaged or diseased branch during any other season of the year, it’s still best to remove it right away.

Growing Fuji Apple Trees in the Home Garden
This apple tree can thrive in a wide range of soil types but prefers well-drained soil. Plant the tree in full sunlight. This plant is exceptionally pest and disease resistant but once it starts producing fruit a slow-release fertilizer will help. Fuji trees are especially resistant to apple scab.

I was surprised at the size of my Fuji apple tree, and I can't wait to get it planted in the ground. I didn't expect these trees to be as big as they were tall healthy looking.
