The Autumn Sangria™ Encore® Azalea Shrub brings a touch of Southern charm to your landscape with its vivid pink blooms & evergreen foliage.

Autumn Sangria Azalea is an evergreen flowering shrub that boasts dark pink flowers that begin to open in early spring and last through fall. The Autumn Sangria flower blooms measure 3-4 inches wide for huge flower heads that will show off in the landscape. Some of the largest blooms of any azalea variety! The evergreen foliage will stay dark green in color all year long to provide many different shades to enjoy.

The Autumn Sangria plant works well in the garden planted as an accent plant, in flower beds, in foundation plantings or mass plantings, or planted as a colorful shrub hedge. The compact size of this azalea shrub allows it to be grown in containers for small planting sites too.

AUTUMN SANGRIA AZALEA CARE

The Autumn Sangria Azalea growth rate is fast — up to 1 foot per year and eventually reaching up to 4-5 feet tall and up to 3-5 feet wide at maturity. You can prune the Encore Autumn Sangria Azalea in late spring after it has finished blooming to shape it to the desired size.

Azaleas perform best in slightly acidic soil that is well-draining and rich with nutrients. Be sure to water well the first year of planting to establish a strong root system. Fertilize with a slow-release fertilizer or acidic fertilizer in early spring to boost the growth rate.
