Wineries in Georgia and North Carolina use this variety of grapes frequently to make their wine.

Red muscadine wine is the leading red wine and is very refreshing to the taste. Delicious muscadine grapes are indigenous to the United States and can be seen growing wild in many settings. They have been around since the Native Americans and first settlers landed on the banks of Roanoke Island. This fruiting plant is commonly used in winemaking, jellies, and grape juice!
