Red Ruffled Azalea Blooms Bring a Southern Charm

This beautiful ruffle-edged, bright red bloomer is much more than just an elegant addition to your landscape with its impressive color display. The Red Ruffles Azalea shrub also provides a dense canopy of rich dark green leaves year-round that lavish gardens in color all through the dormant seasons!

The dwarf Red Ruffle Azalea plant produces masses of showy single to semi-double blooms of deep cerise that have uniquely frilly petals in early spring. The red ruffle azalea bloom time may happen in late spring depending on your planting location.

This beautiful flowering evergreen shrub is great for use as a low hedge or screen for an impressive color display. This azalea variety also makes a colorful container plant or as planted in rock gardens as long as it is well draining.

As this red shrub stays small and rounded, it is easily transplantable if you ever need to change its location. Rhododendron Red Ruffles azalea Florida is an excellent choice as a small shrub or hedge in your landscape!

RED RUFFLE AZALEA CARE

For best results with the Red Ruffles azalea follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep extensive root system. This is especially during the sun exposure of the hot summer months.

Be sure to provide well-drained soil that is rich in organic matter. Feed with an acid fertilizer after bloom and keep the roots cool with a thick 2-3 inch layer of mulch.

The dwarf azalea bush prefers full sun to partial shade and rich acidic soil. Make sure it is moist soil. It only grows up to 3-5 feet tall and wide. Relatively easy to grow in the southern United States. Grows best in USDA plant hardiness zones 7-9 and is only slightly cold hardy down to zone 7 with winter protection.

Our Red Azalea for sale will not disappoint your landscape for foundation plantings.

Hello, Unfortunately, the leaves of Red Azalea began to turn white and dry. I can not understand the reason. Please tell me, does it not want the sun at all?

MY red ruffles is the most beautiful plant in my garden. This is the second year of blooms are they are so cute! Will be ordering more in the fall since it is too hot to plant right now in south Florida.
