If they are grown in their normal hardiness zones of 6-10 these plants can be left outside during the winter. However, if you are in northern zones such as 4 or 5 then we recommend bringing them indoors during winter especially before hard freezes.

Plant roughly 3 feet apart from the centers of each plant to form a dense flowering hedge. For more informal planting, we recommend planting at most 5 feet apart center to center.
