Large Conical Blooms During Summer Add Bursts of Colorful Pink Hues

They say diamonds are a girl's best friend! The Pink Diamond® Hydrangea Tree offers all the beautiful features of a hydrangea shrub but is pruned into a unique tree form.

Hydrangea paniculata 'Pink Diamond', as it is botanically named, features showy white flowers that fade to bright pink from late summer to late fall. The pink blooms are long lasting and can flower for a few months at a time.

Green foliage lines the branches of the hydrangea pan. Pink Diamond tree from spring through fall until temperatures drop. Come winter and the leaves will fall so the small tree can go into dormancy.

The hydrangea paniculata Pink Diamond tree form has strong stems that hold the diamond shaped flower clusters with ease. The hydrangea flowers are excellent for cutting for floral arrangements, fresh or dried.

Patio tree forms are perfect for entry way framing, an accent piece in garden or establishing a border. The colors make a huge statement so plant it somewhere that it can be seen!

Pink Diamond Hydrangea Tree Care

Grow the Pink Diamond Hydrangea standard tree across the United States in USDA hardiness zones 3-8. Sunlight requirements for hydrangeas are in full sun to partial shade. If in warmer climates, a planting site with partial shade is preferred to protect it from the hot sun.

In tree form, the Pink Diamond Hydrangea size is up to 6-8 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide at maturity. It's a rapid grower and you can see these heights up to 2-3 years after planting. The Pink diamond hydrangea tree's growth rate is up to 1-2 feet per year.

Pink Diamond Hydrangea planting should take place in spring or fall. Spring is the best time to plant hydrangea trees so they have the whole growing season to establish their root systems.

Apply a thick layer of mulch to help retain moisture during the hot growing season and to protect root systems from cold weather.

The best time to prune Pink Diamond Hydrangea is after it finishes flowering in late summer through fall. This variety of hydrangea blooms on old wood so you do not want to prune in late winter or early spring or you risk cutting off that year's flower blooms.
