As beautiful as the Alexandrina Magnolia tree’s blooms are, it is a great addition to any landscape even when it’s not in season. This is because it maintains an attractive mounded shape all year round!
Magnolia Alexandrina’s slightly fragrant purple-pink flowers with white interiors draw year round interest. Pink with white goblet shaped flowers are lightly fragrant and may periodically repeat bloom in midsummer. Flowers bloom in late winter to early spring and medium green leaves turn yellow in fall. The blooms can turn from pink to purple flowers as temperatures vary.
The fragrant flowers are best seen as a street tree or shrub or in a front yard for passerby’s to enjoy. Young trees will still produce enough flowers to turn heads! This tree is a member of the star magnolia family. Don’t get it confused with southern magnolias or Magnolia grandiflora that are evergreen magnolias.

The tree arrived with several withering leaves and only one bud. I was disappointed.

I just ordered this Alexandrina magnolia tree for planting 2 weeks ago. It arrived with no leaves (which is normal this time of year) and TONS of flowers. I have seen these trees around town for a while and finally purchased one. So glad I did and I found the perfect spot. Have already received compliments from my neighbors :)
Thank you Mary Beth for allowing us to assist with your Alexandrina Magnolia Tree order. Enjoy your new shade!
Ordered two trees. My order shipped fast, and both trees arrived in perfect condition. The trees exceeded my expectations, I am extremely satisfied. They are both lush with thick stems. I will definitely purchase more trees from Perfect Plants in the future.
Thank you for your kind order and entrusting our team! Happy to hear your Alexandrina Magnolia Tree arrived in perfect condition. All the best.
The tree shipped very fast, was well rooted in the pot, and free of pest. I only give it 4 stars because it was only 3ft when shipped. I called and spoke with Jaime, who explained to me that was the normal size when shipped. Tree came with a planting guide, which is useful for an older lady like me.
