Light Pink Azalea Flowers Bloom All Spring!
This old southern classic George Tabor Azalea Shrub will stand out in your landscape. Not only with its decorative blooms but also with its light perfume aroma that has a way of relaxing the senses and brightening any mood. George Taber is a larger azalea variety. When in full bloom displays a breathtaking vivid magenta color that is sure the catch the eye of any passersby!
The George Taber Azalea produces clusters of showy, profuse pink blooms during the early spring growing season. Its blooms are so plentiful and large that they hide the dark green foliage, making it a favorite landscape shrub in the south during the summer months.
The George Taber features masses of showy single blooms that are single light-orchid and white variegated with white near the ends of the petals. This beautiful evergreen azalea is a premier shrub with deep green leaves.
George Taber is an excellent choice to use as a hedge, screen, or mass plantings for an impressive color display. If you are mass planting, the azalea spacing should be on 4- to 6-foot centers. Be sure to regularly water the first year of planting to establish a strong root system to be able to grow and thrive.
Fun fact: This evergreen southern azalea has a botanical name that originates from the person who discovered it, George L Taber. His last name is commonly misspelled as George Taber and so that became the common name.
GEORGE TABOR AZALEA CARE
The George Taber variety evergreen shrub does best in partial sun to partial shade and moist, rich acidic soils. It can do alright in the full morning sun with afternoon shade but full sun during the afternoon will harm the plant’s integrity.
This azalea tree matures to an average height of 6 feet to 8 feet tall and an average width of 6 feet to 8 feet wide, depending on climate and other environmental factors. It has a rounded, upright shrubby growth habit. Grow this azalea southern indica in USDA plant hardiness zones 7-10. Has slight cold hardiness but grows best in the southern United States. It is sun and heat tolerant.

Love Azaleas
The plants arrived perfectly. They bloomed exquisitely, I’m in love with my purchase. The only problem I have is all the blooms were white and not purple like the picture I saw. But I’m overall satisfied
