They provide a source of food during the fall and winter after the large acorns drop to the ground. Most other vegetative plants are starting to go into dormancy for winter.

Oak trees that produce acorns for a wildlife habitat are important if you are trying to attract deer for hunting or simply enjoying their presence. Nuttall Oak and  Sawtooth Oak species are some of the best oak tree varieties for deer because they produce hundreds of pounds of acorns per year.

These oak trees are highly desirable to Whitetail Deer, as their acorns serve as a vital food source during the deer's foraging season. Nuttall Oak trees produce an abundance of large acorns that deer find irresistible, while Shumard Oak trees offer medium-sized acorns that provide a significant food supply. Willow Oak trees are known for producing smaller acorns but in great quantities, making them ideal for attracting and sustaining deer populations.

Additionally, the Swamp Oak trees in this variety pack offer a unique advantage, as they are adapted to persist in wetter environments that Whitetail Deer often frequent. The Sawtooth Oak trees complete the pack, providing a continuous food source for deer, as they produce acorns at an early age and have an extended period of shedding.

Growing these oak trees is a rewarding experience, and they have specific requirements to ensure successful growth. Plant them in well-drained soil with sufficient sunlight, providing plenty of space for their mature size. Regular watering, especially in the initial stages, will help establish strong root systems. Pruning and shaping may be necessary to maintain their form and encourage healthy growth.

By planting our Whitetail Deer Oak Tree Variety Pack, not only are you enhancing the beauty of your outdoor space, but you are also creating a habitat that supports and attracts Whitetail Deer. Immerse yourself in the wonders of nature and get ready to witness the grace and majesty of deer as they thrive in the sanctuary you have created.

Create a haven for Whitetail Deer with our Whitetail Deer Oak Tree Variety Pack and reconnect with the natural world in a truly remarkable way.

Great size trees!

I went with the #1 gallon (4) pack on trees and was surprised that these were two year old trees, almost 2ft tall or more. Great buy for the acorns for deer!

Perfect Plants Nursery

Hi Bill, Thank you for purchasing our whitetail deer variety pack from our family-owned business! You'll be getting a lot of food sources for your deer. By opting for the larger size, you may have accelerated the growth and development of the trees, which may help them establish more quickly and start producing acorns sooner. It's fantastic that you're considering the wildlife benefits too, as deer can greatly benefit from a sustainable food source like acorns. Happy planting! Shirley
