Orchids can be difficult to grow for beginners. Fortunately, this Liquid Orchid Fertilizer will make it easier since you can be sure your plant will get all the nutrients it needs! Orchids aren’t necessarily heavy feeders, but they do like to receive consistent fertilizer rather than receive all of it at once.
Our Orchid Liquid Fertilizer contains all the nutrients your orchids need to thrive with an emphasis on nitrogen and phosphate. Nitrogen will promote lush and bright foliage, while phosphate encourages strong root growth and flower production. When you use our Liquid Orchid Food, you can be sure your orchids will look happy and healthy throughout their growing season.
This is the best liquid fertilizer for orchids, including Cattleya, Cymbidium, Dendrobium, Oncidium, Paphiopedilum, Phalaenopsis, and Zygopetalum. Mix the fertilizer with water and incorporate it into your regular watering schedule for the best results. Whatever kind of orchid you may have, it’s sure to look lovely!
Mix one teaspoon of fertilizer into one gallon of water. Use the mixture with your regular watering schedule, so you don’t overwater your plants. If you have leftover fertilizer, you can store it in a container with a lid for up to six months. It’s better to have extra than to overwater your orchids! You can even cover your watering can if you don’t have a container to store it in.
No two plants grow exactly the same way, so if you notice your orchid seems to respond negatively to receiving fertilizer every 7-10 days, you can alternate between the fertilizer and regular water to give it a break. Some orchid growers prefer to use less fertilizer more frequently, while others prefer to fertilize only once per month. We recommend integrating it into your regular watering routine, but keep an eye on your orchid to make sure it’s happy!
You can give your orchids this fertilizer every time you water them. Orchids generally need to be watered every 7-10 days. Be sure you use the recommended ratio of one teaspoon of fertilizer per one gallon of water so you don’t accidentally feed your orchids too much. This ratio is ideal because it isn’t strong enough to burn the roots, so you don’t have to worry about that if you’re feeding your orchids once per week.
Liquid fertilizer is ideal for orchids for several reasons. Since it mixes so easily with water, the nutrients are readily available and can be absorbed by the roots instantly along with the water. Other forms of fertilizer like powders, granules, or spikes don’t absorb as quickly and can’t quite function as an emergency source of nutrients if you’re trying to save a dying plant.
Once you mix our Orchid Fertilizer into the water, it will dilute enough to be used for newly rooted orchids. New roots need extra care, and our fertilizer won’t burn them. It’s a great way to give new plants a much-needed boost of nutrients while they’re young.
Since the liquid fertilizer absorbs quickly, you can expect your orchids to react quickly. You can expect to see bright blooms and foliage and fast growth during its growing season while you consistently feed them our Fertilizer for orchids to bloom.
