Spring is the best time to plant these beautiful perennial plants! Fall is the second best time to plant as temperatures from summer settle down. The plants will need enough time before winter to get their roots established, so keep your first frost date in mind.

Agapanthus plants can tolerate down to 20°F but do best in temps between 60-85°F. Some varieties can be sensitive to frost and should be protected during winter. Mulching will help protect the roots from heavier frosts.
