How to Propagate a Snake Plant
It’s easy to propagate a snake plant from cutting. Take a snake plant leaf and submerge the bottom quarter in water and place in a location that gets bright indirect sunlight. Change out the water every other day until you see its roots start to grow. At this point you can plant the leaf in sphagnum moss or a soft sand and water it to help it establish itself. Congrats! How to Repot a Snake Plant
If you see the roots grow out of the drainage holes or if the snake plant is growing many small plantlings, it's time to repot your snake plant. It's easy to do! Prepare some coarse and well-draining soil and loosely fill ⅓ of a container. Our Snake Plant Soil Mix is a great option!
Place the snake plant in the center of the pot and fill around the roots with extra mix until it is filled to an inch or two below the top without covering the crown of the snake plant. Lightly pat the soil to secure the snake plant in place and water thoroughly encourage the roots to grow. Place the snake plant in bright indirect light and voila! You've just repotted a snake plant!
