Deep Orange Blooms All Season Long On A Compact Shrub

Trumpet vines are beautiful but can get large and unwieldy, sometimes spreading over 30 feet. Tecoma Orange Chicklet Esperanza is an excellent solution. The Tecoma Chicklet Orange Trumpet Vine is a compact, non-invasive shrub form that retains all the orange trumpet-shaped flowers of the outsized vine types in a manageable size.

Great for pollinators, the orange bell-shaped flowers attract hummingbirds, butterflies, native bees, and moths. This shrub is also somewhat deer resistant. Did we mention hummingbirds love it?

A long flowering season of lightly fragrant, uniquely shaped orange flowers makes this an excellent choice to bring color and wildlife to your yard. This flowering shrub will keep producing more deep-orange blooms all season long. The Chicklet Orange Tecoma plant is deciduous with bright green foliage resembling fern fronds’ light and airy look.

Tecoma Orange Esperanza plant does well grown in containers or raised beds and is great for lining a low deck or porch. Once established, Chicklet Orange trumpet bush does not need much watering or fertilizing. It is perfect for out-of-the-way spots where your hose doesn’t reach.

These shrubs look great planted in pairs on either side of your front door, porch stairs, or garden gate. Plant three around your mailbox post and let it peek out from the mass of orange blooms.

With all-season-long colors like this, the possibilities are unlimited.
