Creek Pecan Tree For Sale Online

The Creek pecan is incredibly productive and will have you keeping more delicious pecans than you’ll know what to do with in no time!

This handsome papershell pecan tree variety is one of the most disease-resistant varieties to date and has exceptional scab resistance. This pecan cultivar will begin producing after as few as five years, making it an extremely fast yielding pecan tree.

The key to successful use of this variety is managing the crop load in the early spring growing season.  Due to its precocity, the Creek will more than likely have to be pruned after the first years of production to ensure the nut quality remains high.

The Creek’s nut size is slightly more long and narrow than average, with around 54 nuts per pound and 48% kernel. Early ripening harvest date for the pecans is in early October to mid October. These carya illinoinensis pecan fruit trees produce more and more pecans each year after planting.

This is a paper shell pecan tree meaning its nuts are easy to crack and perfect for making pecan pie or eating fresh! The mature pecan nuts have a thin shell and are of extremely high quality.

Creek Pecan Tree Planting

This nut tree is a Type I pollinator and requires a Type II to produce nuts. Good choices for this would be Elliot, Kanza, or Kiowa. As a mature tree, it can grow up to 70-100 feet tall and has a 50-foot wide branch spread. It is extremely fast-growing!

The Creek pecan variety thrives best in full sun and in well-drained soil types. The Creek Pecan’s medium to dark green foliage is exceptionally attractive and will add a homey feel to any landscape. Grow this pecan variety across the United States in USDA plant hardiness zones 6-9. The pecan tree hardiness zone makes it perfect for southern orchards!

Buying pecan trees is a wonderful decision for backyard growers and orchard enthusiasts. They are excellent shade trees as well in any planting site.

Pecans need thorough watering during the first few years of planting to establish a large root system. You may want to set up a watering schedule or buy something like a Tree Gator.
