Use this beautiful Bridal wreath bush as a single specimen, privacy hedge or shrub planting, or foundation plantings to enjoy its enchanting display. The spirea flowers attract butterflies and bees and add to your Bridal Wreath shrubs glorious display. The bridal wreath plant will benefit from being pruned after flowering to promote growth.
How Long Does Bridal Wreath Spirea Bloom?
Bridal wreath spirea flowers traditionally bloom during the spring. Once they bloom, they will often continue to do so throughout the rest of the spring, into the early summer.
How To Prune A Bridal Wreath Spirea Shrub
Pruning your bridal wreath spirea shrub will encourage more flowering throughout the following season. You’ll need to prune your plant right after your flowers begin to fade in the late spring or early summer. If you prune too late, you may end up reducing the number of flowers the following spring.
Do Deer Eat Bridal Wreath Spirea?
One of the key benefits of bridal wreath spirea plants is that they are deer resistant. Plant these around your property to deter deer from getting in towards your other fruit trees and bushes.
Is Bridal Wreath Spirea Toxic To Dogs?
Bridal Wreath Spirea shrubs are not toxic to dogs, as they will not be harmed if they eat any part of the plant. These spirea plants also have no thorns, making them even more of a pet friendly choice for your garden.
Does Bridal Wreath Spirea Spread?
Bridal wreath spirea shrubs are fast growing and can achieve full size in only a couple growing seasons. The bridal wreath spirea plant can further spread via shoots that grow near the base of the plant. These shoots can be trimmed to halt the spread.
BRIDAL WREATH SPIREA CARE
Grow this flowering shrub across the United States in USDA plant hardiness zones 4-9. It prefers to be planted in full sun but can tolerate some partial shade. Well drained soil is best but it is not picky about soil conditions.
Spirea bridal wreath growth rate is up to 5-9 feet tall and 6-8 feet wide at full maturity. Bridal wreath spirea can cover a large area! A yearly application in the early spring of slow release fertilizer at the top of the root ball will help its growth habit and small white flowers appear.
This flowering plant is low maintenance and easy to care for! White spirea is resistant to powdery mildew, root rot, and fire blight and can tolerate a variety of planting sites. A layer of organic matter such as mulch or compost at the top of the planting hole will help retain moisture in hot locations.

Beautiful flowering Shrub
The ordering process was very easy, and convenient. I was very hesitant about ordering plants online, and having them shipped. My order was shipped out within 2 days of ordering, and arrived in just 3 days. They were packed very Nice, and tight in the box. They arrived already flowering, and in great shape. This will be a beautiful flowering shrub once it matures.

Perfect Bridal Wreath Spirea!
Very happy with this purchase!!! Very. Package arrived 6 days after I placed the order. Via UPS (whose service was wonderful too, unlike FedEx). The plants were perfectly packaged. They have leaves and flowers. I wish they didn’t because we’re still having cold weather, but they’re so pretty, who can be upset? These plants remind me of growing up. We had growing up. They are spring to me. I’m going to steal the name First Communion Bush from John. Love that name. Thank you Perfect Plants. It’s a hard name to live up to, but you did! Dave

Bridal Wreath Spirea Bushes
The 3 bushes I ordered arrived quite soon after the order was placed, wrapped and boxed well, and in wonderful condition. We planted them outside our back porch so we can see them grow and enjor their shade as they grow bigger each year. These are one of my favorite bushes, evoking memories of when I was a child in Buffalo, NY, and they bloomed each May; we called them "First Communion Bushes" - and I still do! Thank you for your good and healthy plants and your wonderful customer service!
