SMALL TREE WITH REBLOOMING ROSES IN MAGNIFICENT SHADES OF PEACH, PINK, & YELLOW!
The Peach Drift® Rose Tree plant is sure to turn heads! It is the same Peach Drift Rose bush we know and love except pruned into tree form.
Brilliant orange, pink, and yellow colorful blossoms flower all season long and continue to re-bloom all year if deadheaded regularly. The bloom cycle starts in early spring and rose buds will form from spring until mid summer before the weather gets too hot. They are fully double flowers on the rose bush tree. You may even see flower heads form until fall through the first frost.
Dark green foliage stays evergreen all year long on the potted rose tree to provide a nice contrast of colors to the colorful flower clusters.
The Drift Patio Rose Tree comes in a 3 gallon container and measures 3-4 feet tall. It is perfect for keeping in a container for your porch or patio, planting in the ground as a specimen tree, or planted in groups. They truly become a focal point to add color, so be sure to use shrub rose tree landscaping ideas to your advantage.
PEACH DRIFT ROSE TREE CARE
Drift Rose shrubs are extremely easy to grow and the rose tree is no different! This reblooming rose tree comes with the same pest and disease resistance as all the Knockout and Drift Roses from Star Roses. It also boasts the same heat and drought tolerance qualities once established.
Grow the cold hardy knockout rose tree in a pot across the United States in USDA hardiness zones 5-10. This low maintenance rose tree variety is not picky and will tolerate a wide range of planting sites and garden soil types (even clay soils). If you are growing it in a container, be sure to choose one with a drainage hole.
Grow in full sun to partial shade for best results. You may experience fewer flowers if planted in a more shaded area. Moist, well draining soil is best to prevent root rot on the root systems. A slow release fertilizer will help give the flowering tree a good boost of nutrients if applied in the early spring.
How to Plant a Rose Tree
Your rose tree will come with generic planting instructions in the box. To reiterate, dig a hole at least twice as deep and wide as the root ball. Place the tree and root ball back into the hole and backfill the soil with native soil or amended soil such as our Rose Soil Mix. It is specially formulated to have the most nutrients and components that rose bushes like and need to thrive. Push down on the soil to remove any air pockets and water thoroughly until established. It is best to perform a regular watering schedule the first year of planting to establish a strong root system. Apply a thick layer of mulch to help retain moisture throughout the growing seasons.
How to Prune a Rose Tree
Pruning rose trees is essential to keep the blooms lasting and forming all year long. Deadhead spent blossom to encourage new blooms to form. You can shape the tree to any shape or size you desire. It is best to prune back any dead or crossed branches. They don’t need much maintenance but an annual pruning will benefit them greatly!
When to Prune a Rose Tree
The best time to prune Drift roses is in late winter to early spring before the spring growing season begins. However, you can prune them at almost any time of the year to encourage new growth.
Winterizing a Rose Tree
Winter is a dormant season for roses. They will still carry over their dark green foliage but flowering will decrease as will growth. Never fertilize in winter as this encourages new growth, which is more susceptible to cold damage. We have a great blog on Winter Care for Roses that will explain more in-depth practices on what to do for roses during the cold season.
Peach Drift Roses are easy to care for and provide beautiful rose blooms during the spring and summer blooming season. What is not to love!?

Once your Peach Drift® Rose Tree order is placed, we will ship your plant(s) within seven business days year round unless during the checkout process you request otherwise in the space provided to do so.
Perfect Plants’ shipping specialists carefully package your plants using a proven packaging method that ensures your plants arrive healthy, colorfully alive and ready to flourish. We’ve coined the term ‘upside down box test’ and we do just that; we carefully package so that regardless of the direction your box is handled, it will not harm your precious plant that’s inside.
No shipping process is without a problem from time to time. On rare occasions some plants may experience some of the following during their transit: drooping, minor leaf-loss and/or minimal yellowing/discoloration, minor limb damage, etc. These instances are quite rare, but can happen when shipping plants in boxes.
Plants normally recover within a few weeks after planting. If a damaged box has injured your plant on the inside, please notify us within 5 days of receiving you package(s) by emailing us a photograph of the damage.
We always do our very best to ensure that your plants are packed and shipped in the safest, gentlest and most effective way possible.
Will my plants and trees look like the photographs?
Absolutely! Unlike other online nurseries, our photos are of actual plants and trees we’ve grown here, on our family operated nursery.
Growing our own plants and trees helps to ensure we ship you the best quality plants that are free of pests and diseases.
Your plants and trees may however not ship with flowers on them, like the photographs. This all depends on the time of year you buy your plant or tree. Crape Myrtle trees, for example, only bloom during the summer months, so if you purchase one during the spring or fall, they would ship without flowers. Once planted, your plants will grow and thrive giving you flowers for many years to come!
Pot sizes (commonly referred to in gallons) are shipped in the same size nursery trade pots which may vary in actual volume. Some plants may have been at the approximate pot size listed, but require excess dirt to be removed so that you will not be paying any additional shipping costs. This doesn’t happen very often though.
Choose a planting location that offers adequate sunlight and shade in a low traffic area. Allow proper clearance for the mature growth size. Well-drained soil is ideal. Water regularly for the first planted year to ensure adequate water is available for establishing a strong root system. Prune as necessary to remove any damaged or dead foliage and to promote a well-balanced structure.
Dig a hole approximately twice as wide as your new plant’s root ball and deep enough so that the top of the root ball is equal with the ground level.
Loosen the root ball using a small garden spade or by hand. Breaking smaller outer roots can encourage growth into the new soil, but take care to not damage large primary roots.
Place the plant in the hole and ensure that it is situated evenly upright. Use the excavated soil to fill in around the root ball, using your foot to pack it in firmly. Thoroughly soak with a hose as you fill in the dirt. Take great care to not leave any gaps or air spaces around the root ball as this could kill the plant.
A 2-4 inch layer of mulch is strongly recommended to help retain moisture and discourage weed growth. Apply mulch over the entire planting area but keep away from the stems or trunk by a few inches. Ensure that the plant and surrounding soil is completely soaked with water.
To ensure the proper nutrients are available for the life of your plant our proprietary Perfect Plants Special Blend Soil and a once yearly application of Nutricote Total 360 Fertilizer are great considerations for your new plants!

I ordered this Rose Tree and received it fairly fast. I ordered on a Thursday or Friday, and I love the fact that they waited until after the 4th of July to ship...shows they really look out for their plants not staying in lengthy overnight UPS warehouses. Big PLUS in my book. I received it 5 days. The Tree was in perfect shape. Yes it had a few yellowed leaves from no sun for those days, but was still a beautiful full Tree, and the soil was still very moist, no drying out at all. The little over achiever has blooms developing already. Very healthy dark green foliage! I have this Drift Rose in a bush and it blooms for me non-stop the roses are very fragrant and beautiful in color mixture of a light pinkish peach with yellow, darker peachy coral and cream hues...some are more coral than others. The rose is a double small sweet rose! I absolutely love this rose tree, this particular drift rose is my absolute favorite! Thank you PerfectPlants for taking great care in shipping this to me! Definitely recommend this company and I will definitely come back for more!!! I wanted to attach 2 photos but my phone format for photos is too big and not given an option to reduce. Believe me its full and gorgeous!
