Bring color, flavor, and charm to your garden with the Peach Sorbet® Blueberry

Peach Sorbet® Blueberry Bush is a Delightful Blend of Beauty & Taste

Vibrant Foliage and Sweet, Flavorful Berries in One Compact Plant

The Peach Sorbet® Blueberry is renowned for being a colorful, compact variety that combines ornamental beauty with delicious fruit. This mounded shrub produces blueberries with a sweet, tropical flavor, all while showcasing brilliant, multi-colored foliage throughout the seasons. From its peach and pink spring growth to its deeper purple winter tones, Peach Sorbet® adds color and interest to gardens year-round. Perfect for edible landscapes, containers, and small gardens, this plant delivers beauty and productivity in equal measure.

A Colorful Hybrid with Award-Winning Appeal

Developed by Bushel and Berry®, Peach Sorbet® is a hybrid blueberry bred for both ornamental value and fruit quality. Its stunning multi-toned foliage has made it a standout among other compact berry varieties. Unlike traditional blueberries, Peach Sorbet® was designed for versatility, thriving just as well in containers as in garden beds. Its adaptability and ornamental charm have earned it praise from gardeners across the country, especially in regions with mild winters.

Peach Sorbet® Blueberry Care

Peach Sorbet® Blueberry grows best in full sun and like other varieties prefers acidic, well-drained soil. Water consistently during the first growing season to help establish strong roots, after which the plant becomes more tolerant of dry periods. It performs best in USDA Hardiness Zones 5 through 10 and requires fewer than 300 chill hours, making it an ideal choice for both northern and southern climates. For an extra boost, fertilize in early spring with an acid-loving plant food, and apply a layer of mulch to retain moisture and protect the roots. Prune to your own desired shape.

Unique Peach Sorbet® Blueberry Features

Peach Sorbet® is truly a four-season performer. Throughout the year it displays new growth in shades of peach, pink, and orange, before transitioning to vibrant green. Clusters of white bell-shaped blooms appear in spring, followed by flavorful blue berries that ripen mid-season. As temperatures cool, the foliage deepens into striking shades of eggplant purple, providing winter color even when most plants fade. Growing to about one and a half to two feet tall and wide, this shrub is ideal for borders, mixed planters, or as an accent in edible gardens. It is self-pollinating, but planting another blueberry nearby will likely increase fruit production.

FAQs for Peach Sorbet® Blueberry Bush

Yes, Peach Sorbet® blueberries are self-pollinating, so you can produce fruit from a single plant. However, planting another mid season blueberry variety nearby, like Powderblue or Tifblue, can increase fruit yield.

Peach Sorbet® grows about 1.5-2 feet tall and wide. Its small size makes it perfect for patio containers, edible borders, or small-space gardens.

Plant your Peach Sorbet® blueberry in full sun and acidic, well-draining soil. We recommend amending your native soil with our Blueberry Planting Mix to improve the pH and drainage. Water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist, and feed in early spring with a fertilizer made for acid-loving plants like our Liquid Blueberry Fertilizer. Mulch around the base to help retain moisture and protect roots through the seasons.

You can typically harvest Peach Sorbet® blueberries from mid to late summer, once the berries turn deep blue and easily come off the stem. The fruit is sweet, juicy, and perfect for fresh eating, baking, or freezing for later use.
