Looking for the perfect white rose bush to brighten your yard? The pure White Drift® Rose is sure to entice and awe your neighbors as it adds sparkle to your landscape.

This shrub rose Rosa ‘Meizorland’ is the newest addition to the Drift rose series. It is actually a cross between full size roses and miniatures, they inherited their managed size and repeat blooming nature and toughness on disease resistance. Drift roses are very easy to care for!

The fluffy, cool White Drift Rose Bush features an authentic ground cover growing habit and offers a bright look to any landscape or garden. Its double, icy white blooms will begin flowering in spring and offer a beautiful season-long show of color. Green foliage covers the rose plant all year long for a beautiful evergreen display.

The low, spreading habit of Drift® Roses makes them ideal for small gardens, hillsides, and perennial beds. The miniature rose bush will brighten up an array of borders, fill empty spaces, and spread nicely around your already established plants. We recommend pairing it with the pink flowers of the Sweet Drift Rose for a darling and colorful pairing.

How to Care for Drift Groundcover Roses

The White Drift Rose is best suited for full sun areas and it will adapt to a variety of soil types. Purchase our Rose Soil Mix for the best choice of soil when amending your native soil.

These icy white drift groundcover roses are known to be tough, disease resistant, drought tolerant, and cold hardy. They can grow across the United States in USDA growing zones 5-10 and are very easy to grow. Check out our blog on Winter Care for Roses.

The best time to plant the drift series is in early spring or early fall for the best results. The bright white fully double blooms will cover a large space in your garden in no time. At maturity, this white drift rose bush can grow up to 2 feet tall and 3 feet wide.

Prune drift roses to maintain the desired size and shape, they are fast growing shrubs and will bounce back with vigor. Deadheading spent flower buds to encourage repeat blooms on these ground cover roses. A thick 2 inch layer of mulch across the root system will help to retain moisture when it’s hot outside.

White flower blossoms start opening in mid spring. The rose bush can benefit from adding a slow release fertilizer to the top of the root ball once a year to encourage new growth and colorful blooming. It will also protect against fungal diseases or black spots during the growing season.

Shipping information

Once your White Drift® Rose Bush order is placed, we will ship your plant(s) within seven business days year round unless during the checkout process you request otherwise in the space provided to do so.

Perfect Plants’ shipping specialists carefully package your plants using a proven packaging method that ensures your plants arrive healthy, colorfully alive and ready to flourish. We’ve coined the term ‘upside down box test’ and we do just that; we carefully package so that regardless of the direction your box is handled, it will not harm your precious plant that’s inside.

No shipping process is without a problem from time to time. On rare occasions some plants may experience some of the following during their transit: drooping, minor leaf-loss and/or minimal yellowing/discoloration, minor limb damage, etc. These instances are quite rare, but can happen when shipping plants in boxes.

Plants normally recover within a few weeks after planting. If a damaged box has injured your plant on the inside, please notify us within 5 days of receiving you package(s) by emailing us a photograph of the damage.

We always do our very best to ensure that your plants are packed and shipped in the safest, gentlest and most effective way possible.

Will my plants and trees look like the photographs?

Absolutely! Unlike other online nurseries, our photos are of actual plants and trees we’ve grown here, on our family operated nursery.

Growing our own plants and trees helps to ensure we ship you the best quality plants that are free of pests and diseases.

Your plants and trees may however not ship with flowers on them, like the photographs. This all depends on the time of year you buy your plant or tree. Crape Myrtle trees, for example, only bloom during the summer months, so if you purchase one during the spring or fall, they would ship without flowers. Once planted, your plants will grow and thrive giving you flowers for many years to come!

Pot Sizes

Pot sizes (commonly referred to in gallons) are shipped in the same size nursery trade pots which may vary in actual volume. Some plants may have been at the approximate pot size listed, but require excess dirt to be removed so that you will not be paying any additional shipping costs. This doesn’t happen very often though.

The White Drift® Rose Bush does best in full sun or partial shade, too much shade can reduce flower development. Soil should be rich in organic matter. Amending soil by mixing your own soil with a supplemented, enriched soil can help in offering them an ideal growth environment.

Roses tolerate only mild drought, and should be watered regularly especially until established. Roses as a general rule prefer to be watered at their base, such as by a drip system. Frequently wet leaves can lead to a variety of fungal or pest problems.

Pruning is very important to promote densely growing, well producing Roses. Early spring is the optimum pruning time in most areas. Faded flowers can be snipped at any time to encourage repeat bloom (rather than seed) production.

Planting Instructions

We always do our very best to ensure that your plants are packed and shipped in the safest, gentlest and most effective way possible.

Will my plants and trees look like the photographs?

Dig a hole approximately twice as wide as your new plant’s root ball and deep enough so that the top of the root ball is equal with the ground level.

Loosen the root ball using a small garden spade or by hand. Breaking smaller outer roots can encourage growth into the new soil, but take care to not damage large primary roots.

Place the plant in the hole and ensure that it is situated evenly upright. Use the excavated soil to fill in around the root ball, using your foot to pack it in firmly. Thoroughly soak with a hose as you fill in the dirt. Take great care to not leave any gaps or air spaces around the root ball as this could kill the plant.

A 2-4 inch layer of mulch is strongly recommended to help retain moisture and discourage weed growth. Apply mulch over the entire planting area but keep away from the stems or trunk by a few inches. Ensure that the plant and surrounding soil is completely soaked with water.

To ensure the proper nutrients are available for the life of your White Drift® Rose Bush, our proprietary Perfect Plants Special Blend Soil and a once yearly application of Nutricote Total 360 Fertilizer are great considerations for your new plants!

The rose bush arrived fresh, lush and in bloom with perfect white roses. It looked almost like the picture. The scent of the flowers was such a treat. It was packaged carefully to prevent damage or loss of soil. If I could rate this product and experience a 10, I would. This is the best I have ever seen.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I ordered a white drift rose to plant with the 5 I ordered last year. I received a popcorn drift rose. I called, expecting to have to give proof of error. Nope--instead I had one of the most outstanding customer service experiences ever. Profuse apologies, fast shipment of correct bush, no questions asked. Both times the plants have been full, gorgeous and healthy. Perfect Plants is...perfect!

Blooming beautifully

The white Drift roses that I purchased are healthy plants. They started blooming about a week after I planted them. I am very happy with them!

Drift Roses

The plants were well packed and arrived in a short period of time. Some of them had a few yellow leaves, but after a couple of weeks, they all are blooming beautifully! I would order again from Perfect Plants.

Ordered six Drift Roses and they came quickly and in good condition. I was not familiar with this company but will definitely buy again.
