Order Stuart Pecan Tree Online
The Stuart pecan tree cultivar is an old-time favorite among pecan varieties and is one of the most popular trees seen in the Southeastern US.
The Stuart pecan nuts are medium-sized but probably larger than those bought in the store. It produces roughly 50-55 nuts per pound. It has a thick, strong shell, and 45% kernel content.
One consideration is that this pecan variety can take a bit longer to start producing nuts compared to other cultivars. Nut production could take 6 years to produce pecans and every year the nuts per pound will increase in number.
It will produce large nuts with a kernel that is plump and firm textured once established. They are also easy to crack open with the right tool.
The Carya illinoinensis Stuart is a Type-2 pollinator and requires to be pollinated with Type 1 like Caddo or Pawnee to cross-pollinate and produce nuts. The harvest date is in early October.
Stuart Pecan Tree Information
Hardy in USDA growing zones 6-9 and appears widely planted across most of the southern United States. This is a large and easy nut tree to grow when planted in full sun.
The Stuart Pecan tree height is up to 70-100 feet tall and 70 feet wide branch spread. It can grow up to 2-3 feet per year when established until a mature tree. This hardy pecan tree growth rate is extremely fast!
This pecan variety is a sturdy, upright shade tree, and takes less pruning and training compared to its other pecan family members.
Soil should be deep and well watered the first few year of planting to establish a strong root system. The Stuart papershell pecan tree cultivar will adapt and grow in moist and well-drained soil types and prefers full sun or partial shade.
Fertilize annually at the top of the root ball for the best pecan yields and to help protect against pests and diseases.

Really Good! I’m mean…really good
I bought a type one and two. The Pecan trees were in excellent shape. I ordered 5 to 6 foot and they came in shorter than that. One was 4’ 2” and one was 5 on the dot. It was short by a foot. I wanted them to grow at the same rate but, these will do. Really Great quality trees but I was disappointed in the height. I have a type 1 already established at 78” and wanted tho manage these trees the same. I thought these trees would be the same height. They weren’t.
tree arrived in better shape than I expected, very impressive. would recommend this company as I will buy more trees in the future

Ordered as a present for my brother who likes pecans. He has a large homestead, so I bought him three different kinds. They shipped without any leaves (expected due to winter) but where 4+ft tall. Will buy other gift trees for friends in the future. Thanks!
